Last summer I was contacted by a client searching for an artist to paint their family pet bunny. Sadly their cute little rabbit had passed away and mom wanted a memento for the family to keep adorable lil Caramel’s memory alive. So she asked me paint a Pet Portrait for them as a Christmas gift.

As far as the background colour goes, most of the time clients leave it up to me to decide what compliments the pet best… and for this piece I could think of nothing more fitting than a creamy toffee caramel-y tone.
They were also so kind as to send me a pic after the boys just opened it on Christmas morning. I always love receiving photos like this from clients! They were so sweet as to let me share this moment:
Fun fact: ‘Caramel’ was my very first bunny painting!
